Purpose of the C.E.E.C

In June 2011, the CEEC becomes a Public Establishment by Decree number 011/28 of 07/06/2011 fixing the CEEC aims to assess, evaluate and certify in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the mineral substances below:

  • Precious mineral substances;
  • Semi-precious mineral substances and colored stones;
  • Precious and semi-precious metals as well as rare metals associated or not with major ferrous and non-ferrous metals;
  • Mineral substances from artisanal production.

We hear by:

  1. Expertise in diamonds and other precious and semi-precious stones as well as its colored stones: any identification, drawing and classification operation;
  2. Analysis of gold and other precious and semi-precious metals as well as associated rare metals: any operation of identification and determination of the title or content of associated metals;
  3. Analysis of artisanal minerals and ferrous and non-ferrous metals : any operation to identify and determine the content of precious and semi-precious metals associated;
  4. Assessment : estimate of stocks of marketable products; determination of the market value of the materials appraised by the center in relation to the international market;
  5. Certification : issue of a certificate attesting to the origin of precious and semi-precious mineral substances, rare metals associated or not with ferrous or non-ferrous metals as well as artisanal mining substances intended for operation or transfer from one province to another.
